Viio provides you with data-driven insights to understand application usage and make informative decisions for your IT stack.

How we do it

Viio provides the ability to get application usage data from various sources

  • SSO Logs

  • Browser Extension

  • Direct Integrations

  • Desktop agent

  • Various external audit logs and protection platforms

By analysing data from these data sources, our SaaS algorithm can identify usage of the applications and then display it for you on various levels.

Where you can see Usage data

The Usage data is propagated across the platform, but on each place you can see it, you can also view meta data on the usage itself such as source of the usage and timestamp.

In applications list you will get a sorted overview on all Products your organisation has with their respective usage numbers by employees. A breakdown of total unique users found based on along with trends of active users in the last 30 days, a comparison with how many licenses are detected from direct integration is also a good guiding information.

In Application overview -> Users tab a full list of detected users along with the source and latest detection timestamp. This list is exportable and can be extremely useful in due diligence for shadow IT or rightsizing licenses.

How usage is calculated

Usage is considered to be low if no activity has been discovered for the last 60 days on the employee. There are safeguards in place that define if usage of a particular source is strong, such as other employee usage events tracked recently, or direct integration working properly with no API errors.
