Connect your Tableau account to Viio to gain visibility into user activity, licensing, and usage. This integration helps you manage Tableau more efficiently by highlighting gaps between what you’re paying for and what you actually use.

Prerequisites
A Tableau account with admin access
Ability to generate a Personal Access Token (PAT)
Setup
Go to Viio → Integrations and choose Tableau.
Generate a Personal Access Token in Tableau:
In Tableau, click your profile icon and go to My Account Settings.
Scroll to the Personal Access Tokens section.
Enter a token name and click Create new token.
Copy both the token and its name. You’ll need these shortly.

In Viio, fill in the following details:
Server address (e.g., https://dub01.online.tableau.com)
Access token name
Access token
Site name (found in the URL after /#/site/, e.g., https://.../site/Viio/home → site name is Viio)
Validate and confirm.
Click Validate to check your credentials.
Follow the on-screen steps to complete the integration.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Invalid token? Make sure you copied the full token immediately after generating it, Tableau doesn’t show it again.
Incorrect site name or URL? Double-check the Tableau address and site segment of your URL.
