Viio uses multiple sources to determine which apps, plans and licenses have been used. However, on occasion we will encounter situations, where we know that a plan or licenses exists, but we do not have any usage data to help us determine if it's used or not.
In these situations, our platform will display an "N/A" (Not Available) text, along with a tooltip explaining that "Usage data is not available".
Here are some common explanations for why usage data might not be available:
1) Usage data requires Browser Extension or Desktop Agent
Some vendor APIs will tell us which employees are assigned licenses to their products β but will not provide information about when or if those licenses were used. In those cases, you'll need another usage source, such as Browser Extension or Desktop Agent.
This situation arises when:
You have integrated with an API that gives us information on a particular plan/license β but not if/when that license was used
You have no other usage sources available (such as Browser Extension or Desktop Agent)
2) The plan/license does not relate to seat-based usage
Some licenses are not related to an individual user "using" a certain app or product. These could be mandatory security licenses, add-on licenses, consumption-licenses or similar.
