Many users hold a licence that is richer than they actually use. Viio flags these cases as downgradeable licences, helping you swap expensive plans for cheaper ones without disrupting work.
What is a downgradeable licence?
A downgradeable licence is an assigned plan where the user’s measured activity is lower than the feature set provided. For example, a Microsoft 365 E5 user who never touches the security features or uses only basic Power BI reports may be fine on an E3 plan instead.
Current downgrade path
| From (current plan) | To (suggested plan) | Criteria used |
| Microsoft 365 E5 | Microsoft 365 E3 | Low or no Power BI usage |
| Microsoft 365 E3 | Microsoft 365 F1 | Coming soon |
| Adobe Creative Cloud | Photoshop | Coming soon |
Heads‑up: E3 does not include the advanced security features bundled with E5. Confirm the user’s needs before downgrading—sending a quick survey is an easy way to double‑check.
Each downgradeable license can be identified by filtering the license list by Downgradeable:
